Scheduling and Payment Questions
How often should I book appointments?
The frequency of counselling appointments depends on your personal goals and what you're hoping to work through in therapy. In general, people start with weekly or bi weekly sessions to build a strong foundation and gain momentum. As you progress, some people switch to monthly appointments or drop in as needed. It’s important to consider your own needs and how much support you feel you need. If you're facing something intense or needing consistent guidance, weekly might be best. But if you feel more stable and want to maintain progress, less frequent sessions are recommended.
How much does counselling cost?
Counselling sessions cost $165 per 50min.
How do I pay for counselling?
Payment is automatically processed through the Janeapp at the end of each session unless other arrangements are made.
A receipt will be emailed to you for your extended health care plan and tax purposes. Fees for Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCC) are often covered by extended health plans. It is recommended that you check with your plan directly as plans vary.
Can I use my benefits?
Many extended health plans cover "Registered Clinical Counselling". Please check with your individual plan to confirm coverage. With the exception of ICBC, direct billing does not apply. Individuals may submit their receipt to their extended health care plan.
What is your cancellation policy?
48 hours notice is required for cancellation of appointments. Some exceptions, such as accident or illness, apply.
