During your first session, we will talk about your background, reasons for seeking therapy, and any specific challenges you're facing. This is also a time for you to ask questions about the counselling process and discuss your goals and provides a chance to establish a comfortable, trusting relationship.​

 

3. How long does counselling take?​

 

The length of counselling varies depending on the individual’s goals and challenges. Some people may find relief in just a few sessions, while others may benefit from ongoing support over several months.

 

​4. How do I know if counselling is right for me?​

 

Counselling can be beneficial for anyone struggling with emotional, mental, or behavioral concerns. Whether you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can provide valuable tools and support. 5. Is everything I share in counselling confidential?​

 

Yes, confidentiality is a fundamental aspect of therapy. Anything you share during your sessions is kept private, with a few exceptions that are legally required, such as if there’s a risk of harm to yourself or others.​

 

6. Do you offer remote counselling sessions?​

 

Yes, I offer virtual counselling sessions via secure video conferencing platforms. This allows for flexibility and convenience, especially for those with busy schedules or who prefer to receive counselling from the comfort of their own home.​

 

7. How much does counselling cost?​

 

Individual counselling sessions are $165/ session. Each session is approximately 50 minutes.​

 

8. What if I feel like therapy isn’t working? â€‹

 

It’s normal to experience challenges during therapy, but it’s important to communicate any concerns so we work together. We can adjust the approach, explore other therapeutic techniques, or refer you to additional resources if necessary. Your feedback is vital to the success of your treatment.​

 

9. How do I book an appointment?​

 

You can book a complementary initial consultation or schedule your first appointment by using the online scheduling system.​

 

10. What should I do if I have an emergency?

 

​If you’re in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health crisis, please dial 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For non-urgent situations, I can assist in providing referrals to appropriate resources.
